Two tiers — two distinct roles. Both give you proximity to founders before they raise. Angels are close while founders are still building — early enough to understand the company before it becomes a deal. Capital Partners are here to back the founders who are ready — and to be in position before anyone else knows they are raising. The difference is how close you are to the build — and the scale of capital you bring when they are ready.
Angel Network

Founders choose if and when they engage with investors. That is not a restriction — it is what makes the relationship worth having.
We choose our capital partners for the same reason we choose our founders — because the room only works if everyone in it earns their place.

Structure and governance
How partnership works
AI Gothenburg is designed as neutral ecosystem infrastructure.
The hub operates founder-first and independent from any single partner. The association structure ensures that governance follows the statutes and that the hub remains open, transparent and long-term sustainable.
Membership in the association and partner participation are separate, but many partners also choose to become members.
How partner contributions are used
Partner contributions support the shared infrastructure of the hub, including:
- Workspace and facilities
- The founder environment
- Events and ecosystem activities
- Collaboration with industry, academia and public actors
- International partnerships
- Development of the regional AI ecosystem
Partners get a clear return: proximity to the region's most active AI founders, structured access to the founder pipeline, and first-mover visibility into deal flow.
The association structure ensures neutrality, no single partner can steer admission decisions or shape the builder community in their own interest.
The goal is to build long-term capacity for AI entrepreneurship in Gothenburg, and partners are the ones who make that possible.
