Within the first 72 hours after launching last Wednesday, AI Gothenburg received more than 50 startup applications.

Within the first 72 hours after launching last Wednesday, AI Gothenburg received more than 50 startup applications.
For us, that is a strong early signal.
It suggests that Gothenburg has both the talent and the ambition to create more AI companies — if the right environment exists around them.
That is the ambition behind AI Gothenburg.
We are building a founder-first hub for ambitious teams working to build real AI companies with strong execution and long-term potential. The goal is not simply to bring people together, but to help promising ventures move faster from idea to company, customer, and growth.
The response so far is encouraging. At the same time, volume alone is not the point. Our focus is on building a high-quality environment shaped by strong founders, real venture potential, clear AI relevance, and the right overall fit for what AI Gothenburg is here to create.
That means the selection process matters.
As we move into the next phase, applications will continue to be reviewed based on core dimensions such as founder quality, venture potential, AI relevance, and fit with the hub.
Over time, AI Gothenburg is intended to bring together a broader group of people who want to contribute to the region's AI ecosystem. From the start, an important part of that is bringing together ambitious founders and companies that can help shape the foundation.
We are grateful for the strong response so far, and for everyone who has already applied.
This is an encouraging start — and just the beginning.
